I just learned that a lot of the games I played the most back when were based on the Build engine. There is a perfect Duke Nukem 3d port available for the GP2x, and a Shadow Warrior project that unfortunately died before it was fully working.

I also learned that Build is just the engine, and there is more to a game than just the engine (ignoring any enhancements in the engine). Therefore, even though there are more Build games out there, they can't be ported without source.

Allow me to list those build games I played. There's more sources available, maybe it can inspire some programmers. ;)

Blood
Source code: maybe

Duke Nukem 3d
Source code
Port Win/Linux
Port GP2x

Redneck Rampage
Source: None, but quote from wikipedia: "Redneck Rampage is directly based on the source code to Duke Nukem 3D"

Shadow Warrior
Source code
Port Win/Linux
Port GP2x: Someone tried but the link is dead

TekWar
Source code

Witchaven
Source code

Witchaven II
Source code

I really loved Duke3d, (the old version of) Blood and Witchaven 2. I wish I was a kid again, having soooo much time to waste on stuff like this :)

Somehow I didn't like Redneck Rampage. Even though it's svga polished.

Did anyone ever like TekWar? Or even finished it?
