I'm not trying to be offensive. I just was wondering .Wolfsclaw posted on Aug 2 2004 at 05:44 PM said:maybe hes just a zodiac guy and doesnt actually have a gp32 and wants to test out something here :huh: .. and saying only what he heard.
no offence, just because i also see you on the zodiac boards alucard!
I don't use fCol because it like runs at 3x speed! It is hard to play when everything is going 3 times faster than it should.Wolfsclaw posted on Aug 2 2004 at 06:18 PM said:dont use colem.
use fCOL32 !
(why are soo many people missing this emu? :unsure: )
Nope - that must be someone else. At first I tried to get the username "Turrican", but that wasn't available anymore, so I took one of my other favorite "gaming-heroes" as my synonyme.CrazyDesi posted on Aug 2 2004 at 05:10 PM said:Just out of curiousity are you the same Alucard from ZodiacGamer?
Apparently we should be able to get decent speed on GBA emulation, because it doesn't actually emulate the processor, which is the hardest and most processor intensive part to emulate. This leaves a lot more processor power available to the coder.Alucard posted on Aug 3 2004 at 09:06 PM said:trying to create a half-speed-GBA-emu (don't want to offend anyone with this question)? Okay, it was GigaDrive which didn't run smooth. Now I tried fgen32 and it runs games without frameskip at 166 MHz at (approximately) full speed - but without sound (can play Sonic 2 now). With sound you need frameskip 1 (Sonic, R.o.Shinobi).PinkSpider posted on Aug 3 2004 at 09:07 PM said:Sonic runs smooth on 156 for me :blink:
i agree, fgb is a little slow on the latest GBC games (Megaman Xtreme I, II) and some other ones. Are there any emus that can o/c with the GB/C?argon0 posted on Aug 4 2004 at 12:10 PM said:I've been playing some Gameboy/Gameboy Colour games on fGb and it seems (to me) to be running a lot of them slower than they run on the Gameboy itself (e.g. Driver, Grand Theft Auto, etc...) - especially when you "enlarge" the screen... (which you really need to do to at least 1.5:1.5 to be able to play most games).
Is there a GB emulator out there that has O'clocking enabled/does anyone know if rlyeh (sp?)has a new version with o'clocking, in dev?
<cheers>

If your looking for a zodiac im ur best bet B)Alucard posted on Aug 3 2004 at 09:06 PM said:Nope - that must be someone else. About Castaway: I thought it didn't display the whole area in Turrican I+II - but then I tried it on Steem for PC and it was the same. I was used to the Amiga-version of Turrican. The Atari ST - version just isn't as good as the Amiga-version. So Castaway seems to be nearly perfect! Btw, which button is used for the grenade in Turrican on the Atari ST? Could it be it's not on the keyboard you can use by holding L?
About fgen32: I think I do own the most actual 166MHz-version of it. Sonic the Hedgehog is playable with sound but it doesn't run smooth. Maybe I really haven't got the most up-to-date version, yet. I'll follow the link posted above and try again.
About Zodiac: No, I don't own one. And I really do own a GP32 BLU. Is there a SuperNES-emulator for Zodiac that runs fullscreen+fullspeed+full sound? And where should I order one if I wanted one (I'm living in Germany)?
About GPAdvance: Why don't some developers concentrate on completing SuperNES-, Genesis-, PC-Engine- and e.g. Amiga-Emulators rather than trying to create a half-speed-GBA-emu (don't want to offend anyone with this question)? I don't think the GP32 is capable of emulating GBA at full speed - so why not concentrate on other great non-portable systems? I'm pretty satisfied with my GP32 at present. I don't need a PDA. But if the Zodiac would have perfect emulators for SuperNES and Amiga 500 I would consider buying one.Jr2swiss posted on Aug 5 2004 at 07:52 PM said:If your looking for a zodiac im ur best bet B)
Cause LJGP runs better . I had nesterGP originally but after installing LJGP never looked back :/hwong3 posted on Aug 20 2004 at 04:57 PM said:How come no one likes NesterGP? I know development has stopped for it, but it runs great for NES games and also supports save states. In fact I haven't found an incompatible game yet!
