I was going to askif anyone had problems with CaSTaway on the new 'faulty' devices, but then it occurred to me that having 50 different peopel asking about thjeir 50 apps would be silly. So lets do it in one place..

Which apps are screwy on the new devices, and how are they screwy? (ie: First line shows up on bottom, screen is garbled by wrapping lines at wrong pixel, etc..)

For myself, I'm curious if XCade and CaSTaway are working okay on the newer units; I'm using the SDK's init function so hopefully they're okay :/

There is a pic somewhere on this site actually showing Castaway with the glitch. There is a red one pixel thick line at line 240.

Basically from what I've gathered is that 2003 BLU's are fine (you can tell in the test screen using LRRLRRLL), it's the 2004 ones with the Taiwanese LCD's that have the issue. Luckily mine is a 2003 BLU.

blus weren't out till 2004 ;)

I'm referring to the firmware date, shown on the LRRLRRLL test screen. The "good" BLU's have the 2003 date, the "bad" BLU's have the 2004 date.

If Samsung LCD => FW Version :1.6.6 (2003.5.21)
If Taiwanese LCD => FW Version :1.6.6 (2004.10.10)

I guess it would be better to refer to BLU's by which screen they have instead of by the date. Taiwanese is the evil one. Hehe.

I had a FLU in 2003, so I realize there were no BLU's back then. :)
