Hi friends.
I took liberty to play with Stuckie's 1.0.5 rootfs. I kind of dig XFCE (we know you love XFCE chris_c, sorry lol) I take no credit for anything other than the time I spent adding packages breaking and configuring things. This is based off the work of others and I present it to the...

No prob, use this thread
Then add launchers to the XFCE bar and point to the scripts, the icons come from the default icon sets for devices.
When you first set it up run the abmouse and normouse in terminal to make sure you have no errors to correct in your set up, good luck! :)
One thing...
Use scripts, map them to shortcuts in your XFCEbar like this and change on the fly...notice the mouse icon and the joystick icon ;)

I'm chiming in to confirm my offering to the bounty. Thanks in advance to the dev who picks up this project and thank you to Notaz to putting some of the pieces together for this.

Was wondering where prefs went....thanks!!! if you install XFCE you can see prefs with the card installed. XFCE is also running faster than it does on the stock firmware image.
Hi Stuckie et al....I tried the latest. This is great! I went ahead and installed XFCE for fun and the menus populated with PNDs in the correct categories in the menu but none of the icons show up on the Desktop, I can live w/o this but sir magician Stuckie, how did you get the icons to appear...
