    Prealpha Release Help

You might want to get a Linux book or something. Linux != DOS. Anyway, the way to launch files is ./<program filename here>

Whats That? No 122mb Movies On My Gp32?

I think (Not sure) that it's 2 MBs too big. This is because of the way an SMC is built up. If I remember correctly, you have 120MBs at your disposal.

Sarien doesn't support it. Doesn't work anyhow...

    Cyber Gp32

Thing is, I'm also a hobbyist, certainly not electrician :D Anyway, The MAX641 should arrive either tomorrow, or the day after that. With any luck I'll have the PCB finished by then, the kernel with the ethernet support built (And the USB drivers.) And all I have to do then is see if I can get...

    Cyber Gp32

Why do people keep thinking that... I don't know where you got your information, but you read the datasheet, or the Quickview. you'd notice this little column (This is on the quickview) Typ. IOUT (A) 1.5 Translates to, typical current out, 1.5 amps. Also, it's virtually unlimited if...

    Cyber Gp32

Would you mind upping your compiled web server somewhere? Saves me the trouble of compiling it myself. And what options did you set under USB Ethernet, just the one driver, or all of the drivers? If you did all of the drivers, mind upping that along with it? Else I'll just build the kernel...

    Cyber Gp32

k, I just went and got myself the components (aside from the chip, which is coming by mail), so I should be able to make this thing in a few days time.

    Cyber Gp32

It won't be, only thing is, that you'll need some skills in making PCBs. You could ofcourse let a company do it. And if you're really good, you could make it a floating one. The circuitry is centered around a MAX641. Which is a step-up converter based on induction. This little device turns 1.2v...

    Cyber Gp32

I'm wondering though, which USB Ethernet adaptor did you use? And were the drivers included in the kernel (no extra patches needed?) Because I've thought of a way to turn the GP32's unpowered USB into a powered one, with just two AA batteries (Can be rechargables, or not, whatever you like), and...

How Do You Explain Your Gp32...

I stopped trying to explain, I just say it's a gameboy, but with 10 times the processing power. That usually leaves 'm like this though:

Ok, sorry, ofcourse, not ALL emulators need ARM cores. I can write, or rather, someone, can write a perfectly good TI-83 (Which is a calculator) emulator, without resorting to ARM ASM. Most emulators however (Like... SNES) will need you to go into ARM ASM. Especially something like Stella will...

    Howdy

Bad choice. The SDL port on the GP32 is slow, very slow. It might not make a whole lot of difference in some easy stuff, but it definitaly will on an emu, and especially something as complex as Stella. The reason the GP32 SDL port is slow is because it's based on the official GP SDK (or...

    Gp32 Linux???

Well, you're both partly right. That's because there are two sides to this story, the electronics side, and the software side. My specialty is the electronics side, and I could probably whip up a schematic for the 5v thingy in a few minutes. I'm not however, very skilled with Linux, even though...

    GP32 Bmp2c

Does this just remove the header from the file, and turn it into an array? Because remember, bitmap images are 4 byte aligned. So if you don't remove the padding at the end of a line, you'll need to do this in your program. I had GP32Converter, which didn't do that, but I didn't know. So I...

    Soldering Fluid Stuff?

Sounds almost too good to be true. I know of the procedure, you basically take a syringe, squirt some of the stuff on each pad (or run a long line along the pads, the tin will form bubbles on the pads). But, like I said, sounds almost too good to be true, it is. You need a special oven to do it...

    Sensitive Gp32?

I'm not quite sure, but the GP32 is fairly sensitive when it comes to the external PSU. Wrong polarity, and boom, wrong this, boom etc. And unregulated power supplies can give some nasty voltage spikes the GP32 might not appreciate. I'd go for a regulated one, they're not that expensive anyhow.
