    Leaving Pandora on indefinately

I've been running my Pandora 24/7 since I updated to SuperZaxxon, working great. I never leave my Pandora on charge though. I typically charge over USB when I am at my desk.

Release 3.2 kernel issue tracking thread

When flicking the power switch to go into low power mode and come back it shows swap device read error. I have a swap partition on my second sd card. The error shows 6 times with different numbers.

Battery-life - Watching Movies on the Pandora

You will like this.... Turn on pandora, leave on desk, 125 hours I sometimes feel minimum is perfect for a semi-well lit room, but too bright in a pitch black room. Full brightness is pretty good outdoors but a little more would be nice, certainly on par with most devices though.

Battery-life - Watching Movies on the Pandora

I'm getting 25 hours of music, 12 hours of wifi-surfing, 20 hours of lite desktop work on the experimental kernel. Playing music in GMU.

    Fix for loose Pandora hinges

Certainly possible, actually I think if you take the cable part of the hub and use sugru or something to add a "mountain" to the top it may work just as well.

    Fix for loose Pandora hinges

Hmm this give me an idea. How bout one that plugs into the USB port? Would the mechanical stress be too much for it? Just a thing that would fit into the USB port and a piece of plastic that angles up, maybe with a little bit of padding to avoid scratching the top paint.

Does your computer usage actually need all that RAM/MHz? :P

I'm a PC gamer so I need around a 3 Ghz Dual Core, and about 2 GB of ram. I'm currently running a 3 Ghz, Quad, with 4 Gb of ram and a HD 3850.

Release SuperZaxxon - Beta 1.1 released

I copy between my SD cards a lot in the past and have not noticed any problem. I agree that data corruption is a very very bad thing, but taking about 60-120 seconds to load Firefox in comparison to 5-10 seconds is just as bad in my opinion. Just avoiding copying between SD cards is probably a...

A daily report from the Rebirth

Well on my desktop Firefox uses 1.8 GB of ram including the plugin container... Windows 7 is using a GB on its own, but no one has really paid attention to that because we have so much ram on desktops it just does not matter anymore. I guess that's one of the upsides of having plenty of ram...

A daily report from the Rebirth

It really does make realize just how much RAM is available on a desktop. Heck I used to run WinXP on a 400 Mhz Celeron with 192 MB of RAM. Really, for my purposes at the time, it was fine as long as the system was completely clean. I however do run out of ram on the Pandora, but I think 256 MB...

Release SuperZaxxon - Beta 1.1 released

The new kernel seems to be working well, I left my pandora running overnight (conky and firefox running on the desktop), I lost about 4-5% of battery in 6 hours. Current_Now shows something between 25 and 40 mA. The only issue I've noticed is that SD access seems very very slow now (maybe it...

    How's it going? (2012-03-05)

Don't worry it is not hard at all, some common (nerd) sense, googling, and forum scourging. You should be fully up and running in an evening.

What does each setting in Mupen64Plus - gles2 do?

I can't seem to find a guide on how to properly configure gles2, I've been playing around with the settings and have gotten Perfect Dark to run smoother then default. Also, it would be nice to have an FPS counter so I can see a plain number, so I know how each option is effecting the frame rate.

    new Vs old

I can't imagine the LED's used on the pandora sucking up more then 1-3 mA. They are not high brightness LEDs. A regular LED at full brightness uses 2.5 volts at 20 mA.

    Battery cover tabs snapped

Yea, those are the ones I glued on. They are holding fine.

    Battery cover tabs snapped

Not enough left to glue the tabs back on? I glued mine on when just the tab broke, it pretty much broke at the 90 degree.
