    music player locale problems

I have a recurring problem with some musicplayers (qmmp, audacious), namely that they refuse to open files with non-ascii characters (e.g. úíë etc)..is there a solution to this?? (setting a different system locale?)

thank you for panplayer2... took me a while to figure ;) (not sure I am taking advantage of it to the fullest, could only get the SDL video driver of it to work here...)

    Release SuperZaxxon v1.76

ok, I tried that, but it didn't change anything...(also, its not triggered under 1.75)..can it be caused by a fault during the system upgrade? cause I noticed some of the pandora scripts referenced a non-existing op_path.sh..forcing a opkg reinstall of pandora scripts fixed that (but not yet the...

    Release SuperZaxxon v1.76

hmm..I upgraded a while ago to 1.76, but now I noticed that usb charging is not working like it was before (I still have the 1.75 on the internal flash, that still works)..I have tried different chargers, it charges but after a while it stops (and a "battery disconnected" message appears in...

How os friendly is the pyra?

http://www.voidlinux.eu/ looks like an interesting distribution that does not use systemd, is not based on any other distro and has other ARM ports available..maybe it can adapted for pyra?? I am a long time user of OpenSUSE - so how nice is "quite nice"?? ;)... any issues?

    Update QjackCtl 0.4.5

I think it may work if an updated libjack compiled against the firmware libstdc++ is included in the firmware, since links against libstdc++ are typically forward compatible (but maybe this should be checked with people more knowledgeable than me ;-) )

    Update QjackCtl 0.4.5

ok, have you asked notaz about maybe compiling the newer version of libjack for the firmware, this might work as there are not a lot of dependencies?? (also might be worthwhile to figure out why it wouldn't work from the pnd..it shouldn't be impossible) hmm ... about updating the rest of pnds...

    Update QjackCtl 0.4.5

first thanks for providing this package!! did have an issue: it seems the way libjack is updated breaks some packages?? (I have problems with audacity) as far as i can see it copies over libjack to /usr/lib, but it has a dependency on on a newer libstdc++, so anything that does not include...

Quick'n dirty OMAP5432 vs TX2 compilation time test

the 1.28 is not surprising, since it also has 33% higher clock - so it doesn't speak bad of the omap design...it would be interesting to know the power usage though (the figure of merit is perf/watt) I think the -j n+1 might skew things a bit (its 50% more processes than cores for the omap...

Quite a bit for you to read!

great stuff! thanks... now, my opinion about the eMMC situation: I think the goal should be maximum reliability, especially for storage, so in that sense I don't like the "let see how fast this mux thing is" approach I remember the Openmoko phone, which had issues with a shared channel between...

    Release Warcraft: Orcs & Humans

M-HT: still miraculously good! (thanks!) just a small question: is there anyway to unlink the mouse wheel from the toggle scaling (when using an attached mouse)?? and while I am at it also: I noticed in the caanoo port different behaviour for the touchscreen (needs e.g. two taps on the screen...
