    Scummvm 1.1.1

The engine used by the early version of Myst (and Riven etc.) is called Mohawk and while the engine is not in a state that Myst can be played without issues the core code will run on the GP2X and GP2XWiz (very slow on the GP2X). So when it gets to a supported state expect to see it in the ports.

    Scummvm 1.1.1

I should have a 1.1.1 Wiz build out in a few days, got a working Wiz and I'll try and take a look at things at the weekend. Did a quick test but found a crash in the scale code I need to track down. With a little luck I'll fit it in at the same time as making the OpenPandora ScummVM backend...

Which Version Of Another World Will You Run?

I'll see what I can find out about getting suitable permission to do an official release of Another World on the OpenPandora based on the code that was used for the GP32 release back in the day - http://www.distant-earth.co.uk/awgp32/. That was based on the RAW interpreter written by Gregory...

    Scummvm And Saving

Mokawk is not going into the 1.1.0 release of ScummVM as the engine is not ready (same for SCI) but yep, I have started looking into the hacks needed to get the engine running on the GP2X and Wiz (well it's going to be VERY slow on the GP2X ;)). You have also just reminded me that I need to add...

    Scummvm And Saving

Make sure you extract all the folders and libs in the Wiz ScummVM distribution to your SD card, if parts are missing saving will fook up ;). Also, have a look at the README, you can always use the psudo-virtual keyboard to put save names in etc. I'll also have new 1.1.0 pre-release/test builds...

    Sdl - Lowering Resolution?

Cheat and just zoom a rectangle around the bit of your screen your interested in making sure you keep the right aspect ratio (there are GP2X SDL features to do that in hardware) and only render data to the bit your showing ;) . SDL_GP2X_Display Hackish I know but should give you what you...

    Has Wiz Development Died?

And while your at it somebody get me one ;) . I am far from convinced that the Wiz scene is dead or really unwell as has already been mentioned, homebrew and hacking tends to be seasonal and most of the good hackers I know are normally working on 2-3 devices at any one time (at least). I must...

    New Photo From Mweston... Wifi!

Technically there is no reason that would not just work. I have used remove SMB and NFS shares in testing often. I am still playing with some ideas to get more integrated remote file system support into the GUI, playing with Gigolo at the moment as part of the XFCE messing around and also been...

    Who Owns Twitter.com/openpandora?

Go for it if you want, find me on IRC or ICQ if you need me to setup or tweak anything.

    New Photo From Mweston... Wifi!

This was not something I planned on being public (not that it matters in the slightest). I considered it mundane so did not expect people to be interested. If I had planned on doing a nice photo I would have not taken it 2 hours after I should have gone to bed ;) . Please note that I am...

    Who Owns Twitter.com/openpandora?

It's owned by me (so in reality OP). It's hooked up to the unofficial blog and the official one. It should also let me tweet to it from IRC but I broke my bot code to do that and have not had time to fix it.

    Self Powered 8Inch Screen

I actually like my RedFly, not that it gets that much use for what it was made for (I have several other devices such as my HTC Shift that fit that portable comms niche better) but it offers some interesting hacking potential  (if you are so inclined) and is a nice way to add a pseudo USB...

    Matchbox Vs E17

http://git.openpandora.org - Not pushed in a little while as my personal tree has a lot of WIP stuff in it but you can build from the published trees. You will need both the OE metadata and our overlay to build anything (and of course a working BitBake environment)...

    Pandora As Zaurus Successor

OPIE is not an XServer Window Manager. It's a fork of QT Embedded (Qtopia) and runs directly on the framebuffer rather than an XServer. OPIE works on the Pandora but a lot of the hard coded images need work to create 800*480 versions that look decent on the device. No one is doing any work in...

    Matchbox Vs E17

Caveat: Sorry if I am waffling, lack of sleep. Ahhh, Something I feel I can talk about (just) ;) That is LXLauncher running on top of LXDE ;) . LXDE runs on the Pandora as is. LXLauncher is not quite so stable however, that needs a little work to get it into shape. As for the...

It's amazing what Google can do ;), even good enough to get the gist of most of the site (it's how I check it now and...

I'm New To The World Of Wiz! Nice To Meet Ya!

http://scummvm.distant-earth.com/ (and a new release is about to come out that supports the bigger 640*4xx games). As for installing stuff: No need to be any sort of 'Linux guru'. Just put the SD in your PC via a card reader or use the USB connection and copy apps to the right area of the game...

    Should I Buy The Wiz

From my 'hackers' point of view, I got rid of my Dingoo as I was not awestruck on the physical device (I had an early one and build felt cheap, controls where 'patchy' and the screen was not good IMHO) and it just somehow did not appeal as a platform I wanted to sink my time into despite having...
