Backgrounds For Gnuboy

Am I the only one who scales all my GB games to full screen?

I usually hate scaling because of the uglyness of the pixels that result. On GB though Even *I* use it sometimes because it is just a bit too small at 1:1. It would be nice if GB stuff had a filtering/smoothing option in scaled mode though. When you must scale, smoothing is the best option. It makes things a bit fuzzy but is a good trade off. Could the second core be used for a small algorythm like filtering?

Well the new version seems to be running flawlessly. Maybe there is enough CPU time to pass a filter. Maybe not.

I haven't even tried, maybe it can be done without much hassle.

YES please do. and you might only need vertical AA...maybe.

edit: removed link as that was for anti-aliasing line drawings.

also after seeing the sigs on gp32spain i don't feel so bad about turning sigs back on over here. :D

wow! gp32spain is full of avatarts!! :p hee hee

I am wondering K-teto, i love gnuboy, especially the scaling mode! Its cool to see things in big, and its cool to see them like an old gameboy again :)

One thing you could add on the next revision is like some sort of filter which blurrs out the small gameboy screen and fades now and again (JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL!!) THEN it would be like the perfect gameboy experience ;)

What i am REALLY wondering is this, is there a way to skin the rom selection screen? also where did you get the PNG of the original front of a gameboy from? if you can tell me, it would be cool to have the original gameboy and nintendo logo on there ;) or to make the png of the original gameboy different colours in photoshop.
Could be fun!

Thanks in advance! :)
