Do we really care what state GBA emulators are in? That's emulators for the GBA not of the GBA to avoid confusion.

To be honest I don't give a damn about the GBA I don't have one. If I had one I'd post on their boards not here.

I thought I escaped the trolls at the GameFaqs boards. <_<

Yeah, I don't give a shit. If it could play PS1 one games, i'd be impressed, but still would not buy one. Too low res to do even genesis/AtariST properly. SNES could be full speed, but it would be postage stamp, and not full SNES resolution. Mad skillz though :)

I respect their emu coders. But I don't care about the emus a jot; I'd need to have a GBA to do that. And I don't. So there.

Not that anyone really cares...but i much prefer my GBA to my GP32 non flu....if i had a Flu it would be a totally different matter...So i am interested in GBA stuff and like hanging around this board as it's fairly active and not full of Kids....like all the GBA forums.

PS if an afterburner kit comes out for my GP32 and snes emulation gets even better....i prefer my GP32 :p

Oh goodie, a "let's all hop on the fucking bandwagon" thread.

I for one applaud any efforts made by any developers to help any scene, and in this case, cool, GBA owners can play SNES games. If the GBA snes emu trumped the GP32 one then cool for them, why be bitter? The problem is, the guy was lying, the GBA SNES emu sucks, but that doesn't make the GBA any less cool.

I think the main problem is, he posted in general talk which is for GP32 news. GBA announcements and general bragfests aren't, contrary to most people's opinion it seems, illegal on this board - just keep it in the right place.

(Moved)

Please don't feed the trolls, people.

The GBA is too weak to have good emulators and screen really sucks :D . I had one a long time ago, but I sold it while it still was worth anything... :D

I beg to differ on that "too week" comment. I play the SNES emu on the GBA all time time (My GP32 hasnt arrived yet). This is the first release and it already plays many games at full speed (without sound), mainly side scrolling space shooters (bio metal, gradius, etc..) and platformers (Mario World, Castlevaina, etc...) I doubt it will ever play them with full sound, even the author agrees on that. I have the GBA Snes on my GBA right now with about 10 good games that run great.

The NES emulation is perfect on all the 200 games I have on my cart WITH sound on the GBA, GB/GBC is perfect with sound (only GBC that have mono option). Its more than powerfull enough, SNES sound is hard because snes has a separate cpu for sound so GBA will probably never support SNES with sound, but alot of people dont care about sound anyway.

Your comment that you cant have any decent emus on the GBA is just ignorance. Pretty close to your comment in this other thread you started, that GP32 cant have any decent emus on it.
See: http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?showtopic=6334

I was actually part of the GBA scene, which is where I saw mention of GP32. In the SNES emu topic oddly enough. Although the GBA has some good emus out and may have full SNES speed eventually, the resized screen issue is just too much for me.

Thank you very much! ;)

and to anyone who cares, i was not taking the piss out of the GP32 ( why would i since i bought one myself? ) i was simply saying in so many words that he's a brave programmer and would actually be 1 nail in the coffin for the gp32 if they fully pulled it off, but since it will never be full speed with sound it doesnt matter now.
