I will now render judgement... Well, it's *MASSIVELY* improved. The SOS sound and intro warble on Parasol Stars still sounds a little odd but it's really, really good. The tune sounds spot on, and the in-game SFX sound dead on. Gonna' go back and test the sound in Magic Engine to make sure I'm not misremembering the intro. Well done!

EDIT: Listened to it on Magic Engine the music is a fair bit clearer and less rough (this could be down to SDL sound capabilities for all I know, though). However the intro SOS jingle and the warble as you fly across to the planet is definitely off. On Magic Engine it's a smooth fade up and down as the stereo pans from one speaker to the other, whereas on Hu6280 it's like one channel is cutting in and out every half a second. And the SOS is a clear bright ding-a-ling on Magic Engine but a somewhat rough "blart" on Hu6280. It's odd that the in-game sound effects can sound so right when other elements don't. Sorry if I'm sounding critical, but I imagine you want the sound emulation to be as perfect as the rest of the emulation. :)

Is the button config supposed to be working already?
Tried to change it in the ini-file, but HU6280 seems to ignore it...

But impressive release :) Thanks!

volume control, the mrs has kicked me out of the bed room thus im testing roms :)

@vobbo constructive critisism

how accurate is the FPS?

games feel too fast for me.

Awesome, absolutely awesome. Soldier Blade and Raiden with sound...heaven!

I also noticed I can't turn sound up/down which wouldn't be a problem but it dosen't turn off when I select sound off in the menu, which isn't good for school because my sound doesn't turn off with headphones and I'm too lazy to fix that

Vobbo, THANK YOU! The sound is not absolutely perfect (I think a sound channel is missing...could be wrong) but, heck, it really sounds nice! You really tackled that sound bug quickly...I am extremely impressed. I said I would donate, and I'm going to do so right now. Nothing huge unfortunately, but I'll donate again after I get some more paypal funds. Again, thanks! Most definitely one of the best emulators for the GP2X to date.

Glad you all like it....!

keep your eyes peeled for another release!!!

Hi Vobbo, thank you for your hard and nice works!
I noticed that this release had some strange scanlines in my gp2x..
It's normal?

You know what is amazing? Running the emulator at 200mhz is emulating the games at their actual speeds. Any higher (233+) is basically making the game go faster than it was originally intended. I noticed this when running a bunch of games before. The Keith Courage intro seemed fast, so I knocked it down to 200....now it is at the exact same speed as my real TG16.

What does this mean? It means it's awesome. It means that good solid coding is what is REALLY needed...not overclocking all of the time. It really amazes me too, because when I had the PSP I HAD to o/c the tg16 emulator there to 333 to get it to run at full speed. Here I am doing this at a mere 200. Simply amazing!
