After seeing his truly awesome work on SNES  and GENESIS :D emulation I have decided to make a donation when I get paid.

Besides that, doeas anybody know exactly what projects he is working on at the mo? Is the Genesis emulator going to be updated?

He's working on a machine that can create seven tons of cheese from three pints of milk in under four minutes.

welcome to the asylum... i love you all in a very passionate way.

I don't blame you at all for posting this question here. I once tried to ask reesey himself what projects he had going on but I couldn't understand his reply.

It is a little known fact that Reesey actually speaks arm9 ASM as his first language. He can only manage english words that are present in the C programming language.

i think the genesis emu is already perfect. who needs an update?

People want 6 key support, some roms don't work right, and I want in game overclocking. That's all there is really...

Oh yeah, and SegaCD support. But that might take awhile....

Nice set of demands that you are giving there.

Prepare for flames...

SegaCD might take a while.... It is nice that he his giving him time on that one since it is basically impossible to do at any decent speed. 2 68000s, DSPs, other custom chips etc make that one out of the question. The GP2X just barely runs the standard MegaDrive now at full speed.

All I could request for the Gen emulator is that Reesy changes that god awful menu, I can't navigate it.

Don't you have thumbs or something? Apologies if you really don't.

I have thumbs, but I try to navigate the menu and it just scrolls too fast down to the bottom/top and I have to be really careful not to go too far. The background is distracting, too, but I'll shut up now :p .

This week I have mostly been....working on snes 8bit rendering. I got a version working that uses pretty much the same basic technique that I use in DrMD and guess what, it ran 1 or 2 fsp SLOWER than the 16bit rendering mode. So I'm working on a different approach which should definitely be faster. After I've finished I should be able to apply the technique to DrMD, which should make it fast enough to run 16bit...well hopefully.

I've changed my current version to only accept UP,DOWN,LEFT and RIGHT. Diagnals are ignored, this makes the menu alot easier to use. Apart from that I'm not planning on changing the menu that much. I was going to add a file browser but I've gone off that idea. I may add a function to select your own rom directory, if I can be bothered but I'd rather spend my time re-writting rendering routines rather than menus are boring.
