Hi all,

I downloaded the GBA emulator - I know its slow from whats been said about it, but does anyone have any idea about compatibility? I tried running Grand Theft Auto Advance on it and all I got was a black screen. Has anyone else tried this title, and does anyone know what games work OK on it?

I've checked the wiki pages and there's no compatibility lists at all..

Cheers,

Paul

Its a quick port of VBA SDL. At best, the author says that it run around 6fps with no sound. VBA SDL was command line on the Pc so I am guessing you need to run it with a script as chances are there is no file selector.

Hi Yaustar,

I got that from the readme file - I did everything right (as far as I can tell) but so far I've only tried that one game. It's possible that the black screen is a compatibility issue.

I'll try some more,

Paul

If you've got a script, make sure you haven't used Notepad for it as the GP2X doesn't like CRLF line endings. That results in black screens for everyone :) Try using Programmer's Notepad and setting line endings to LF, which the GP2X likes.

Since it was a direct, port I cant see why it wouldn't run so I am assuming that it is something like a script error.

Again I can be wrong so post some findings when you get time :)
