Replacement Joystick Caps Available

I'd probably like one too but I'm not sure if it would fit. My stick isn't centered over the hole. It's like 1mm down from the center :)angry:). I'm worried that it might hit the slightly raised edge around the hole. As it is, the default cap just barely makes it. A bit lower and it would hit the edge.

I wonder why they put that stupid raised edge there anyway? If it wasn't there you could put the cap closer to the casing. Decrease the long throw of the stick a bit.

Had the same problem ended up sanding down the underneath of the cap so I could actually go left :/

I have a cap where the hole is drilled slightly off center. This would work good for you because you can turn the cap so the narrower wall of the stick is near where the other one hits. This would certainly clear. If you are interested let me know, Thanks.

IN your sig the joystick cap has ridges where your thumb goes but in you original pics there are no ridges. Which one are you selling? B)

The first three didn't have ridges. I added those in later as I had the idea. From now on they will have the ridges like the picture. It is a small modification to the new batch but both seem to handle the same.

If the people who have bought them off you say they are any good, then I will have one.
Yeah they should be getting them soon. The mails must be slow, I sent out the first ones Wednesday...
I got mine. It feels good on the thumb and is very well made. That Nylatron is strong stuff, you'd break the GP2X before the cap.

My GP2X casing is a bit offcenter on the stick so I'll have to do a little trimming though.

Sometimes the hole in the cap is very slightly off center too. Try to rotate the cap 1/4 turn or so, it may then clear. I will make the stem a slight bit smaller in future ones. I don't want to make too thin for strength reasons though. If you do have to trim I would suggest filing a flat spot on the side of the cap stem that touches and not triming the length. If you trim the length you will weaken the cap as it will only be pressed over the flat on the shaft and not the round part. It may then fall off. Glad you like it.

Patents cost $900 and go up from there. Plus, he'd probably get hit with prior art garbage.
