And given that Korea's clocks run ahead of most of rest of the world, I believe the shipment has gone out by now. Looks like there's a delay of a couple weeks on the TV-out cables, though (see GP32z...)

I can tell you that it is definitely after 3pm on the 10th in Korea now, because it is now 7pm on the 10th in Australia.

Pity it has to ship to the UK then back to Australia. :)

I live in Korea and have just received my (korean pre-order) GP2X.

Contents of the package:
GP2X
screen cover (you have to stick it on yourself!)
plastic screen protector
USB cable
manual (very sparse)
leather wrist strap with screen cleaner and SD Card case
carrying case with GP2X logo
batteries
a lollipop (!!!)
8 stickers to be used for a dinnerware set promotion at Carrefour (the French Wal-Mart-like chain) (!!!)

Initial impressions: It's not as slick as the PSP, it feels more like a... toy and it's a lot lighter. The button/controller layout feels a little uncomfortable, but then again I didn't like the PSP controller layout until I got used to it either. The carrying case is really very nice. I hope they offer it later for people who didn't preorder. Ah, also on the GP2X itself under the logo at the top left is printed "first edition". Pretty cool for those of us who preordered it.

I like how they stuck in the lollipop and stickers, shows somebody at the company has a sense of humor.

Hmm, now what can I do with just 64MB of memory...

Hi,

Does it include a CD with drivers? What about SDK?

Thanks

I must say this is really disappointing

I have to ask, why? It is seem by any modern OS as a USB Mass Storage device so no drivers are needed (well unless you have 98 or older OS'es)

There are plenty of resources to get started on development and the GPH SDK as it stands is a little on the old side.

I know both GPH and GBAX are working hard on developers pages with howto's, links, downloads etc..

I think there seemed little reason to include an old SDK on the CD when people have already moved up from it and started to release newer libs, compilers etc. etc. before the console got released ;).

The first batch of GP2X consoles is shipping this week, but its very limited. Order now to get one from that batch.

I'm wondering if my eyes deceive me here. If I order NOW, I get one this week? (I actually ordered last Wednesday, but anyway) *waits at his letterbox*
