I know there's been lots of people asking when the consoles out and the answer is "late October" but is there any chance, being just a month to go that we could have a proper date now rather than a vague guestimate? It must be fairly clear by now when they'll have everything ready for the launch (I hope)

Odd. I replied to this earlier and my post has vanished.

Anyway, 17th should be when they are being made. Takes 3 days to do the whole run.

There is to be a smaller run before then, but they will mostly be for promotion units.

Special Delivery probably, fastest and best from experience.

Or people can come and collect the day they arrive, we will be having a little get together on that day up here (delayed from august).

Cheers, I was just wondering if I needed to change the delivery address. I'll probably send an email over and make a request. Id love to come down on the launch day, Newscastle isn't too far away but its still a lot of travelling unless theres strippers and booze lol...

Heheh - if I can get out of lectures, or its a weekend, I'll pop down, methinks.

Might it me an idea to start a list of people who might be coming once you know for certain when they'll arrive? Just so you don't get all 500 or however many there are in the first batch coming down to collect ;)

happy bday!

I'm putting off buying Indigo Prophecy to preorder, I think. Might have to save some ca$h for the duty too.. Gotta love the government.... %14 taxes for electronics. %7 tax on non-essential foods. (chips, pop, etc)

Try telling us Brits that chips are non essential and you might end up on the bottom of the Thames in concrete slippers.. of course by chips I mean Fish & Chips.

Craigy, is there any way I can coax you to change my delivery address- I know it's not a terrific way to enforce security and most major online stores will not do it on a first purchase but if you send special delivery to my house it'll end up back at the postal depot faster than a fast thing that got a degree in fast at fast university. Some of us work all day, dontchaknow! Boy, Isn't this a great thing to discuss on public forums- I trust it shows I have nothing better to say...

Oh... and...

WOOHOO, GP2X COMING SOON TO A MY POCKET NEAR ME!

It can probably be changed yeah.

How do you change address? I sent an e-mail awhile back asking to change it and about the VAT that I was charged even though not in the UK.

I still have not received any response.. What is up?
