Gp32 Compatibility List New Look

I like the new look! :)

Oh, one thing: Why can't there be several ratings for a game? Some people sometimes get a game to work while others don't. Perhaps the ratings should average out somehow?

Also, there must be like 5 different Sonic and Knuckles versions.

EDIT: Hmm... I just noticed - your listing of SNES games is woefully incomplete... and I can't log on to add to it.

All the above can easily be achieved. anyone can add comments to each game, so if they had problems, then they can air their thoughts there, and they can even give it a rating.

In order to log on you must have an account, on the logon screen click on New User.

Hope that was of help :)

Clare.

Edit: Regarding the ratings, they do average out. but if only one person rates a game, then that will be it's rating !

By the way, when you talk about different versions of games, do you mean different releases, or different rom versions, as I don't think it's a good idea to have 5 different rom versions of the same game on the list. This will cause confusion. It would be preferable to leave comments on the singular game stating which rom versions work etc. But I guess it's up to the community how they want the site to work as I built it after talking to you all :)

Well, there are about 5 different ROM versions for "Sonic and Knuckles" - if you can do that, perhaps it would be best to combine them into one.

Anyway, thanks for telling me about the "new user" button... I was looking for something like "Register". ;)

When I originally ported the games into the datatbase I had the complete list with all the different rom versions, some games there were about 10 different versions and through discussion with the guys on the forum it was agreed that we only really needed one version of each game in the actual database. I built the game comments section to compensate for this so anyone can add info about each game and they could let you know which version worked etc. You can have multiple comments for a game in a sort of forum style. But to be honest, most people didn't know which REAL version they were using and most Emulators don't report this info anyway. The forum then suggested I add a system to rate the games, so I built this into the comments section, each games rating is then averaged out, which is another reason for not having multiple copies of a game in the list as this would put the ratings out of joint

Whew, what a paragraph. Did all that make sense  ?

Byeeeeeeeee for now,
Clare.

Regarding the GP32 + section of the lists:

I have nnow chganged this to a general GP32 section, and instead of just the + as a version it now is as follows:

System:
GP32

The 2 versions are:
NLU - FLU - BLU
Taiwanese Screen +

I bunched the NLU, FLU, BLU together because far as I know the only difference is the lighing!

GP32 on the Compatibility Lists

So what's the reason for the change? Well I thought if anyone wants to add their homebrew Games/Apps etc, then there is now a section where we can add their different versions to the different versions of the GP32!!

TTFN,
Clare.
