Found this on a bittorrent link, does not look fake to me.. i find it odd how the front of "PC Gamer" says December 2004 edition though

if that is not odd to you, i dont know what is..

Well i have to say i hope its real, if they announce it.. anyone have any idea's when it will be out in shops to buy? ill go get this as soon as its out, the 98% rating seems a bit over the top but this is PC gamer and if i remember right they used to rate things slightly higher than other mags.. but still that is one high rating!, i remember Zelda for the 64 got 98% in some mag :)

I was told that HL2 will be out Next Week, but I think the guy actually meant to say Released In a Month next week...

I believe i heard around different places that the HL-2 engine will suit older computers and shouldnt be as slow as doom 3 for ppl with older video card's etc.. im not really sure, but i'd think you need a pretty good setup to get the best out of it.

for those of you who havent upgraded yet.. i suggest you do ;)

What would you recommend? I hate going to computer shops letting them talk me in to buying something I don't need...

Right now I have a 2.4 gig P4, 512Mb RAM, GeForce MX 128Mb.

I'm guessing the graphics card is in urgent need of an update, but I might just keep the core components and get myself a new processor/motherboard and graphics card.

That processor looks ok to me, i'd say its mid end right about now, upgrade that graphics card though..

I have a GF6800 ultra that didnt come cheap, people do say that the 6800GT is cheaper and a better performer than ATI's x800 pro (NOT XT!) as the 6800GT has 16 pixel pipelines and the pro only has 12.

Do what you will, but out of all those cards their basically a close call out of all the benchmarks that i've seen. :)
