Mattmagoo have you got your weapons in yet cause im puzzled as to how to put the weapons in. I've started some other levels now but i can't go much further until i get the weapons and characters in. Once thats done i'll make it a one level demo just to show how its getting on.

Well if you find out mattmagoo, can you email me telling me how to do it. Im nearly finished level2 of my game so im going to pass this one out to let people see wat the level looks like and so i can get info on how to change things that need changing. Anyone want to make music for my game?

I don't wanna spoild anythink AFAICS you need a licence to use the fullpotential of the yeti engine and it cost 6000$ ... :(

wat do you mean i need a license to use the full potential of yeti? Its not as if im gonna sell the game. At the rate its going, i may have to pull the plug on it as i don't know how to put the weapons into the game and i need 3D characters but i can't find them.

Vimas have you got a site for those md2 models? If i use google image will they come up? gba-cube im gonna send you another version of level2. Its bigger than the last one.

For shizzle. Just search for Quake 2 modding stuff.

http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/downl...&sort=modelname

But search for simple looking characters first, so that there is no FPS-slowdown this early in development. Maybe try

http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/downl...ex.asp?model=14

...and also search the board and google for a video of the yeti engine running. I am 100% sure that there is a video showing some 3D weapons, dynamic lighting and enemies (IIRC exactly the banana I linked here) walking around. Maybe you could contact the author for some help.

Oh and also look at the tools section of the page I linked. They have got stuff to view and edit md2-models and you could easily extract the models of Quake2 to use them in your game. Shite on copyright if you reskin them and offer your game for free.

Thanks dr.no. Yeah I should start off small cause it will slow it down. I was close to pulling the plug cause i couldn't find stuff but now i'll continue with it. Does anyone know how to make stills using the pc? You press some keys and it photocopies wat was on the screen at the time. If anyone knows can they tell me so i can post some images of my game. It probably won't be better than doom but im going to give doom a run for its money. You all watch out for codename W.I.P. Anyone got suggestions for a proper name?

No idea for a name, because I don't know what it looks like. :D

To make screenshots, press "Print" on your keyboard and "Paste" it into you graphics-software, or use a so called "Screenshot grabber" (Search google), which would do it aswell.

Good luck for your project.

I don't think he will make it cause, I won't have the source..

no source -> no enemys -> no AI -> no weapons ->no game ...

just my two cents, because the yeti3d is not for free...

Ah, come on. It won't be a commecial project of any sort and I'm sure, if he asks nicely, the dev of yeti3D would permit it. You could see this game as some sort of techdemo for yeti3D which could get other commercial developers interested.

Or he just couldn't ask them at all and they would not ever notice it, because this game won't get much known outside of the GP32 community. ;)

Let's see how this develops first.

Wats all this talk bout having to ask the dev of Yeti 3D? am I not allowed to make it with out their permition? I need their help anyway cause i can't get the weapons or characters or AI in yet. Anyway if im not allowed to make it, i've made some racing tracks with yeti. Now all i need are F zero sprites and it will be finished. Anyone got any? and Don't bother with the name. Im going to call it Ichiban meaning great one.
