Port Requests

I have a rescent running MPV Git Version on my CodeBlocks SD Card and tried it to bundle with the SMPlayerGui from the SMplayerRepoPND without success.
I can try it again..maybe i get it working and can send you a PND with it
mpv support in SMPlayer is somewhat recent (since version 15.9.0, which was released last September), so I don't think any SMPlayer version we current have as a PND would be able to use it. So a fresh compile of that would be useful as well.
mpv can work nicely as standalone as well, though, so I wouldn't mind that either. :)

ok i will try to compile the latest Git from today.
Maybe i can make a Version which simply open a Terminal where you can use MPV from with the normal Commands ;)

Edit: Sorry my failure...i have it but not complete compiled and not working..sorry. :(
Tried it 7 times to rebuild yet:(

I have built mpv, with GLES2 renderer. But I don't find it very fast. It skip frame (for movie encoded as 6xx*3xx using h264, but not sure, I have to check back). This one also need Streaming Texture to be resonably faster, but I haven't checked how difficult it can be to add that.
(it needed quite a lot of hack, and to updated a couple of libs, no an easy plg'n play build in fact).

Afaik mpv still supports using SDL as output renderer. Wouldn't that be a more reasonable choice on the Pandora?

Would anyone be willing to take a look at Puyo Puyo VS ?

It is not open source, but there are Windows, Mac, and Linux ports. The developers say they are open to further porting too. It seems like they have a Raspberry Pi 3, as they said they would personally help support an ARM Linux port to that platform.

Looks to have been abandoned in 2008.. due to internet dramas on their forums.

Can't say that's worthy of a port but you could probably try it with GLShim

I had a few in my todo already, like OpenGoo (but it's not a game yet) or Chaos Projectile. Other seems highly multiplayer oriented (Goat Attack, that should be fairly straightforward, or Land of Fire, or even Bub's Brother). I may try a couple on that list...

Ello!
While flicking through ye ol' internet I stumbled across this bit of fun: https://nothke.itch.io/normans-sky
Norman's Sky is basically an 8-bit Space Sim, like a budget version 'No Mans Sky'.
It has a Linux release but I just thought it would be spiffing to see this ported to the Pandora!
I'm not sure on system requirements and I assume permission would need to be granted but don't this look fun?!

Looks nice but...
There is no sources
And it's Unity, so, no :(

I just modified the topic so that it's clear that we need the source code first to HOPEFULLY save Ptitsebs Brain from unnecessary attention ;)

Please take care to ensure that you get a link to the game, to the source also.
My apologies, I'll be more thorough in checking for the source next time!

I ported Amoebax ..a Puyo Pyo Clone.

Come soon as PND :)

Thanks! But I believe sebt3 already ported: http://repo.openpandora.org/?page=detail&app=amoebax-amoebax

Perhaps his build could use an update?

I mainly was hoping to port Puyo Puyo VS due to it having extensive online multiplayer options. I think it would be great for Pyra too! The devs have been responsive to me and seem to want to add support for ARM and OpenGL ES, so even though the source is not open, I'm hoping there will be a path to us having a port soon.
