a couple of years ago i spent two weeks in devon and spent every half decent day in the sea body boarding, absolutely loved it!

looking at spending a week or so down there again.

any of you guys into it?

I do! Love surfing. I live in Devon so I pop up to the north coast when I can to go. I just sold my surf board though so I'll be renting one for a while. Half the reason I'm taking a gap year in Australia is to surf!

Surfings, music, films and gaming are my fav things :D. In that order.

Edit: Also windsurf as well. That's harder to learn the basics, and kills your arms if you do it for a long time (after a week of windsurfing every day I could actually see the muscle difference in my forearms).

one of the reasons i fancy going to Plymouth

I usually go to bairitz (sp) in the South of France, its pretty sweet there

atm I am only windsurfing when i go to the carribean coz i cant handle the big wave with the sail under control, but I'm getting there

I never tried surfing, but I imagine it great fun. Living in deepest Germany with the greatest body of water in closer vicinity being the "Kemnader See" (Lake Kemnade) which I could swim across in about ten to fifteen minutes I am not able to try it here and besides: I need all my time tinkering with electronics and painting miniatures (besides being with friends and my beloved one) :D Would love to try it if the opportunity presented itself though...

Yeah, i had a half day lesson last year in Newquay, and loved it... I was in pain for 4 days afterwards mind, but im now increasing my fitness and swimming ability for august when I go back down again. I love it all, lifestyle, clothes, culture... its great.

And who knows next time I may actually be able to stand up.
