I don't know if anyone else observed this in their own e-mail boxes, but over the course of the long-weekend that just went by, the contents of my spam-catcher seemed to be at an all-time low - I had about five pieces of spam in total over the course of the four days (by comparison it's usually about 55 to 85 per day).

I can only assume that a large number of the zombie machines, in homes and offices, that spew this stuff were powered off between Friday and Monday, and are back on again today.

Did anyone else notice this?

Didn't notice any change, but my spam folder usually sees only about 5 or 6 messages per day, if any at all. Someone getting as many per day as you is probably more likely to see sudden changes.

Hum, I so rarely look at my spam folder, but it looks like I'm getting about what WizardStan is. Interestingly, a majority of it is either job scams or relationship scams.

.. and some of it isn't really spam. Not that I really care.
