X server security: -nolisten tcp

Is there any reason the default OS install has the X server listening to external TCP connections on port 6000? Almost every OS install I can think of these days defaults to starting the X server with -nolisten tcp. Is there something about the Angstrom flavor of distro which makes outside connections desirable?

Thanks,

Andy

I suppose it's here to ease X forwarding.

That said, almost all Linux distros doesn't ship a firewall script, so it's up to the user to secure a bit.
