...I would mention this in your review as a warning to those who are about to get a Wiz, not as a con for the device, however.
How is this in any way *not* a con?. Did I forget about the little GP2X display pixies, that magically come in the middle of the night, and brush away the burn-in?. Let's not be ridiculous now, and I sincerely hope you are not saying I shouldn't conduct an honest review; this is TERRIBLE for a supposed space-age display technology - this kinda thing is supposed to be WAY in the past!!.
Adding this to the inexcusably dire USB 2.0 file transfer performance, screen tearing issues (not many, but noticable) and, as my friend put it "it feels like a prototype" build & finish, this demonstrates that GPH *still* haven't sorted their act out... or even rehearsed it!.

Wow, I'm glad I read this thread.
This is the oh-so-wondrous "AMOLED" technology that everyone keeps raving on about... it has a ***LONG*** way to go, and it's pretty poor tbh. I shall be putting this poor technology into perspective, and the GP2X fanboys can either accept that or just tough luck, I am afraid.
It is half-hearted projects like this, which give free software & GNU/Linux the bad press, not that I take much notice, but others do. When Gamepark holdings finally ship a product with the finish and polish of the HTC Hero phone, *then* I'll take them seriously. This *is* still a prototype, and it seems as if they can't make their mind up what to do next, having read a lot of stuff on here. I know this is not meant to be the next DS Lite or PSP, but seriously - I'd rather people spoke the truth, than were blinded by fanboyish affection for their hacker's toy (it is a GREAT way to hack GNU/Linux and learn the OS, btw; dd bs=1k if=dev/urandom of=/dev/dsp
).
Terrible industrial design failure - next time, hire Jonathan Ive!.
Nice try, badly implemented. I would *NEVER EVER* spend £130 on this item. Ever.
