Hola Pyranhas,

Out of pure curiousity...

There are lots of good indie games out there such as Hydorah and La Mulana that dont have Linux versions.

Do you think the Pyra could handle those wrapped in WINE?

Maybe. If performance is ok.

Nobody can say that. Maybe lunixbochs can make some estimations.

On the Pandora you are limited to Minesweeper and solitaire right now.

And Diablo2(with maximum Overclocked) and JazzJackRabbit2,Diablo1 and others.

But its very difficult to get them run sometimes.

And its buggy, because all in alpha Stadium.

On the Pyra is for example : X Beyond the Frontier and other Games possible.

I want to play Ragnarok online on the Pyra ;)

Wine on a Linux PC is fast because there is no emulation, it just translates Windows API calls.

On the Pyra, you'll also need to emulate a X86 processor, so it should be very slow...

Granted, but most are not expecting very recent titles being used with it.

Lunixbochs has been playing with some impressive arm x86 emulation on both the Pandora and a Tegra K1 which uses ARM A15 cores like the Pyra will have.

Nice :)

Also, the indie games i hopeto play are 2d, hopefully the coding of those isnt too unoptimized.

But its nice to see 90ies windows gaming might be supported trough Wine

From the video it seems to run better on the k1 then it did on my Pentium2 back then.
