Will OpenMW ever work on the Pandora?

It almost certainly will run on the Pandora, but performance is another matter. Bear in mind that the system requirements are quite high - I played Morrowind on launch with a single-core 1.7GHz Intel + Geforce 2, and it couldn't handle it in all situations. The Pandora is quite a lot lower than that in terms of power.

Also bear in mind that most Opensource implementations of commercial games are less efficient due to one reason or another (less optimisation due to the need to remain portable, lower skill levels of the OSS coders themselves etc), which all bodes ill for our little beast.

Time will tell, of course, so it's a "Wait and see" kind of deal here.

Hum, yes, seems pretty heavy for the Pandora! I think the max "minimum spec" for the Pandora is a 500MHz x86 CPU with a 32Mo graphic card (Arx needs something like that).

they boasted that Morrowind engine was highly unefficient and that much better performance could be achieved if I remember correctly but:

1- that needs to get proven.

2- I feel that if they get a more efficient engine they'll use it for huge drawing distance and more improvement rather than allowing it to run on lower spec machine...

And to add to that, they'll likely use some highly inefficient scripting engine to handle the scripts rather than rolling their own. Like LUA or somesuch. Which will drag performance down to levels similar to the original.

No problem, if this ditnt work on Pandora 1, it will sure work on the sucessor :)

Or, maybe Oblivion will work on the sucessor, but this needs a opensource engine like OpenMW..

Id played very well on my old Desctop PC whit 2.3 ghz Windows XP

But ditnt work whitmy Dualcore Notebook whit Windows 7..

Ok im happy whit openmw on P2..
