Again!

After starting a second time finishing half off of Marios Picross 2, fgb32 screwed up all my savestates again! :(

AGAIN!

I mean, do you know how hard some of these puzzles are??? Especially Warios Picross (which I was playing most of the time)??? <_<

I always save on more than one slot, cause I know of the savestate bug in fgb32 but know all 9 (nine!) states are messed up!

fgb32 did the same thing with my Mario`s Picross 1 savestates after finally getting to the star course. Then started playing the sequel and again! :(

And there is no real alternative emu for playing gb/gbc!

I even tried playing the SNES picrosses but with that shitty transparency bug, there is no way I`m plaing these...

I`m sooooo sad... :(

If you added extra roms then the states are there, note quite sure how to pick them out though, try a PC GB/C emulator.

I know what the states are named, and I backed them up now and then, but the last back up is too much puzzles away, and I don`t want to do tham again.

I still have the savestates on my smc. So, is there a way to save them?

they get lost when you delete or add roms (wich are alphabetical before the rom with saves) cosue fgb saves use the number as teh game as name, so you have to add/remove XX roms < m to get it back, adding roms < m = saves lost. dirty "bug"

well may be bullshit but thats what i think is it

I already know of that, I didn`t add or remove any roms.
When I load the savestate, the whole screen gets messed up, so I thought the files are messed up.

There needs to be a fix in the SMC routine so the saves and stuff are saved using the game's filename, instead of some funky number thing. o_O

It happens the same thing on fsms32... These are the only 2 emus doing that, after a random number of saves the function screwes up and I can't save or restore any more...
I tried to get some help months ago, here, but had no luck...

EDIT: A lot of people answered me that it was the add or move roms thing but that really isn't my case, as I didn't use to move or add any of them to the list. I don't know if it is the same for you, quiest, let me know.

It`s the same.
But I don`t think it has something to do with the general number of savestates, cause I only saved for Picross 1&2, SML Six Golden Coins and Deadalu Opus (is that spelled correct? Man, I`m starting to hate this game, it`s so hard)

Guah. Maybe we just have to write rlyeh about it, as this problem afflicts two of his "creatures", and I already tried to search for a solution on the forum archive, with no luck [or probably it's just me who's dumb and didn't do a proper search].

*ahem*

The solution is:

...Use GPvsGB for GB/C ROMS and SMS32 for SMS/GG ROMS! :D :D

/or ask rlyeh about this on http:/www.retrodev.info/forum and hope he gets around to fixing it
//SMS32 is still the better emulator, anyway

I wasn`t asking for that, but thanks anyway (I think, I couldn`t have figured that out by myself) :D :D

LoL, thanks Esn =D
BTW, I wrote rlyeh a PM about this thing, don't know if it is the fastest way to get in touch with him, but let's see what happens
