Whats Happened To Gba Emulator?

project's still active, check sourceforge page for updates and forum discussions etc. you can also ask questions via e-mail or forum

Fair play to Enf for the work he has done on the GBA Emu, however as always its still a case of, if you want GBA games buy a GBA - I did, just for mario cart and Advance Wars.

And if the GP32 dies ever emulate the GBA effectivley I can flog it (the GBA) on Ebay.

Actually there was no recent news on this so its okay for him not to have used the search function. But I read the forums there and enf65 and someone else have joined the sources with VBA so that can only mean good things.

I checked out a recent FXE in CVS at the sourceforge site, and it was based on the VBA code. It slowed it down to basically nothing, but I think the idea is to get something working, then trim and trim and optimize and so on. So demos that ran fullspeed before are running < 50% of what they were before, but the compatibility is much better. I know they'll get the speed up though.

Hmm, with GBA's on ebay now selling around the £40 mark, isn't it just easier to buy one and sell it when the emulation is upto par?

yeah, but its not just £40 is it.

you've got postage for it, then even if you only want to play three games on it your looking at at least a tenner plus postage for those.

so that quickly becomes £70 very easily, a fair few users don't have that sort of disposable income when the gp32 has already been purchased.

i'm not arguing with any of you guys btw, i'm just pointing out why it isn't the best of responses to be told, go buy one!

peace out!

:) Yeah really. You can't say that unless we were on like a virtual pet forum. Hehe when this emulator runs good you could easily convince your friends to buy a GP32. Just subtract the GBAs price from it!
