Looks like Caanoo does not like 26char long Wep key...
Yes, I know I can switch (and should) to WPA, but I use regularly my Nintendo DS/DSi, and they only accept wep...
I have three wifi dongle I'll try them all.
yeah, my laptop has that problem with its built-in adapter with a 64-digit wep network they use at school (sometimes shows up as WPA), but when I plug in my Ralink USB adapter, it works fine. I hope there is a patch or update that lets the Caanoo use long wep keys...
I'm glad to see that a Ralink chip works... I think it works because it uses the same or a similar chipset that the Caanoo adapter uses. Do you know which Ralink chip it is?
anyway, since there is a usb port, and there is an ext-to-usb adapter, maybe someone could plug in a bluetooth adapter and a wireless adapter in at the same time... or two wireless adapters and use one to make an ad-hoc network... I don't know. I wonder in any usb lan adapters work (ethernet)... I might order one once I get a Caanoo.
I found this, its a list of adapters that use ralink chips. http://ralink.rapla.net/
If you know what Mac chip or RF chip it uses, you could figure it out with that web page. Mine has a RT2501USB chipset.
I also made a list of what we know works... Please correct me if I am wrong, or missing information!
