What Does Seem To You?...

Why someone always on these forums start whining, if someone wants to talk for keyboard lightning, etc. I don't mean to offense, but if you don't like the topic, you shouldn't read it.. And the glowing letter paint sounds nice (on the paper, it is...) Is the paint some kind of phosphore?

In this case, at least, there seems to be valid reasons why adding a backlit keyboard would either not work - add too much cost - or delay the system a long time. It's not like people are coming on here and just saying "I don't care!" or "This is stupid!" - they are explaining why it might not be a good idea to do this. Or at least why it's not a good idea to try to add this feature at this point.

I think most people would like it if the Pandora had a backlit keyboard (as long as you could turn it off) - But the physical, economic, and temporal consequences to trying to add it now are just not worth it.

Yeah, you got a point and it's ok to say why something wont work or so. I didn't mean particulary this topic, I mean all the topics, where is something like: "This is useless" or so. And really I did not mean to offense...

I hate this idea. First of all, the screen seems bright enough, even when further back, to at least help illuminate the gamepad/keyboard. Second, after using it a couple times you memorize it anyway- hell, I have some controllers that have more buttons than that keyboard, and I can use them in the dark. Third, its stupid, excessive lights are ANNOYING, especially when you have glasses and they appear as glares. Fifth, it may SEEM easy to people who don't know shit about electronics, but it isn't once they already have most of the stuff finalized. By now, I believe most, if any, changes will be major bugs to the hardware, but mainly software based.

What do you like more?

I want mod a Pandora.

I want to see how you plan to illuminate the Metal Analog-Slide Pads. :D

Here is my Idea how a illuminated Pandora-Keyboard could look:

None taken.

I actually agree with you that a lot of people are quick to scream "useless". I don't know why they do. So, I'm right there with you. Maybe Pandora Mk2 can have a backlit keyboard, and 4 shoulder buttons, and Bluetooth.

That would be enough to get me to buy a second one. (This under the foregone conclusion that I am able to be one of the chosen 3000 to get a Mk1.)

PANDORY=EVIL, RED=EVIL -> it fits. :D

Really, blue LED's are sooo boring now that EVERYONE uses 'em in every casemod in every Technic Device on this Planet. Yes, they look cool but they are so mainstream that it just doesn't fit for such an unique Device like the Pandora. ;)
And I think the blue is much to bright for illuminating a keyboard.

Pandora wasn't evil. It's like if someone puts an atomic bomb in the chest of a newborn.

actually, there's still watches that have radium numbers on them...
Well sure, if you go to a flea market or cheap discount store, but the US government outlawed Radium watches because people were getting cancer on their wrists. So what, you want a radium painted pandora?
