Customize the software to match my desktop: i3, zsh, nvim, various commandline tools, dotfiles, firefox addons and such. I want them to be practically mirror images.
This as well for me too!

Customize the software to match my desktop:. . .firefox addons. . .
Just tonight I created an account through mozilla to sync my browsers because Febe wasn't supported anymore and I was doing a full wipe on my PC. It restored all my bookmarks, plugins, passwords, pretty much everything but open tabs. I guess I'm not using febe anymore. . .

I'm wondering if all my add-ons will work on the ARM version of firefox. I remember add-ons used to say windows only but I don't see that anymore so maybe add-ons work cross platform?

The steam from the bath would be enough to make things have rainbow streaks. Although I dunno if i'd want my Pyra near the bath! (Laptop yes though)

Im usaly listen to music every morning when im take a shower, i have a Waterproof JBL Bluetooth Speaker, but i let my Smartphone inside of my Pockets, but inside of the Bathroom,
I think as long the Smartphone ditnt get wet, it isnt a big deal , but i wouldnd use my Elektronikdevices that arend waterproof in the Bath Tube..

Lot yeahrs ago, there where a pretty stormy weather when im in Summercamp whit the Boyscouts, and it rained in our Blacktend, cause it wasnt propper build, so my Phone (Sony Erikson K700i) and my Mp3 Player (an 24 gb Archos) got pretty wet but they worked also pretty good after this event,
But i wouldnt take my Pyra in the Bathtube, at least not whitout a Waterproof Bag..

Its pretty tought to know, what whe want to do when whe get our Pyra, cause nobody knows yet, what Programms will work then, our what works at all,

Maybe its just the Hardware in the first few weeks, A Plastik Case, A Batterie, 3 Boards, a Screen and a Keyboard..

How do you call comfortably with the Pyra? I wish it could replace my phone. The only decent phone I know of is the N900 but it is too old and abandoned.

I don't call often and when I do I usually use speakerphone, I mostly just text & use data.

Prepare exhibitions in France
In Toulouse, we got every year the Toulouse Game Show (approx. 50K visitors, don't compare to Gamescom) and a FOSS event (Capitole du Libre)
In Lyon, we got a new event around video games and a FOSS event too (JDLL)
We could probably apply for events in Bordeaux and Montpellier if ED gives us the green lantern :p

i've never had baths hot enough to even have foggy mirrors (high humidity makes me nauseous) :$ and i'll definitely won't hold the pyra in my hands while bathing, it'll sit on a tiny table near the tub :D

Buy it, use it, break it, fix it, trash it, change it, mail, upgrade it
Charge it, point it, zoom it, press it, snap it, work it, quick erase it
Write it, cut it, paste it, save it, load it, check it, quick rewrite it
Plug it, play it, burn it, rip it, drag it, drop it, zip - unzip it
Lock it, fill it, call it, find it, view it, code it, jam, unlock it
Surf it, scroll it, pause it, click it, cross it, crack it, switch, update it
Name it, read it, tune it, print it, scan it, send it, fax, rename it
Touch it, bring it, pay it, watch it, turn it, leave it, stop, format it

Haven't preordered but CNR. Original here.

I often used my Pandora to play games while spending a little time in the bath and listening to podcasts at the same time. The humidity would get high enough to make water drip off the condensation on the outside of the toilet cistern, especially if it was a humid day to start with. By the time I did that the LCD cable had already broken and been replaced in my Pandora, I'd stripped and replaced a couple of screws, and the case was starting to crack, so I wasn't too precious about it. I'm not sure I'll use my Pyra like that in the bath for a while after I get it.

Put it in a ziplock bag, that should keep the humidity off, I'd expect?

That'd work. Even better would be the type of bag with a seal but without the zipper which used to be more common. I wasn't that bothered for my old Pandora - it was only cold surfaces that attracted condensation, but it's worth considering if I use my Pyra there.

The ones without the zipper are still sold by Ziplock here. I wasn't sure what else to call it. Ziplock is a genericised trademark.

Speakerphone usage might be a bit compromised, at least at first. I don't think anyone has developed noise cancellation software to knock loud speaker output out of the microphone. But, bluetooth headset should be a solid option. I suppose a person could make a push-to-talk speakerphone interface work. Mic is defaulted to mute, push and hold a button to deactivate the speakers and activate the mic. Something like that might make an OK work-around?

What will I do first with mine? I'm not sure. I could come up with a three page list of the things I would want to do in the first week to month with it, but exactly what the first thing would be? Not sure.

It should also work with the kind of wired headsets that many of us have, even if we've never picked up a bluetooth headset. That means one less set of batteries to keep charged. And unlike the Pandora, it'll support both standard wirings of those things.

Apple, I think, swapped the mic and the ground pins when they included a TRRS socket on their first iphones, and android manufactureres copied that. Only older Nokia era phones support the older wiring, although a lot of those devices had 2.5m headset sockets rather than the standard 3.5mm sockets, so you're unlikely to have a headset wired that way round in your old kit storage. But the Pyra can detect and supports both wiring schemes.
