if i had the skills, and i dont, i would make a wallpaper which was basically a wholescreen of actual wallpaper, really old lady style stuff with flowers, that looks like its been papered over a raised pandora logo. like its been forgotten and trapped underneath it

I received the permission for this one:

isn't it way too big?
Whoops, 800x600...

Here's a new one.

EDIT:
I made this one even cooler like this:

Watcha think?

EDIT2: I just learned that I can't quite use that logo, it was made by somebody else. I'll remake these, don't worry. With a different logo.

@Jourdy - I think that you found the option to invert colours in The GIMP. ;)

Seriously, though, I actually quite like them, although I think you need to fix the size again - the Pandora's resolution is 800x480, don't forget.

How did you get those vertical lines on the letters, by the way?

@Thread-as-a-whole - My folder of desktop backgrounds for the Pandora is going to be huge if this keeps up. :lol: Liking everything I'm seeing here.

I LOVE the black and orange look. Keep it up.

I think the ones with the "shine" coming from the middle look really poor

If you don't have anything nice or constructive to say...

Ok, here's my contribution. Lately I've been buying up a bunch of old home computer games that I'd previously missed out on (my first ever C16/+4 and Spectrum games should get here today, in fact :D), which is what inspired these. They're all variations on one image, since I couldn't decide which I felt looked the best out of the three.

Pandora_Microcomputer_Desktop_v1.png

"Pandora Microcomputer", version 1, with "Ready" prompt and Pandora logo.

Pandora_Microcomputer_Desktop_v2.png

"Pandora Microcomputer", version 2, with "Ready" prompt and old-fashioned copyright information.

Pandora_Microcomputer_Desktop_v3.png

"Pandora Microcomputer", version 3 - a combination of the other two.

The colours come from the Pandora logo (the lighter blue is just a lighter shade of the logo's blue), and the font used is Silkscreen.

Regarding usage, this note is from Silkscreen's readme;

This font is free for personal and corporate use and may be redistributed in
this unmodified form on your Web site. I would ask that you not modify and
then redistribute this font...although you may modify it for your own
personal use. If you really like this font and use it often, feel free to
mail me (e- or snail mail) some small token of your appreciation. A URL
of your work using Silkscreen would be appreciated as well.

And this one is from Silkscreen's website;

How much does Silkscreen cost?
The Silkscreen type family is absolutely free for personal or corporate use. You can use it for any project you want (Web, print, or otherwise) without owing anyone a single penny.

Won't bother to count, but remember to keep the bottom 50px free of any details, as they will be covered by the panel.
