So far as I can glean, the power is the CPU speed. All machines come in the same box, yet the 266Mhz ones have been tested by gp2x.co.uk to be stable at 266Mhz.

Thanks for the help so far, has put my mind at rest a little. I've just had to return a few things lately, i'm just getting irritated with doing it *lol*
The only difference is the how much you can overclock them and that the power pack has a screen protecter. As Kagey said they have been tested to run at 266MHz. If you want to check you can overclock try this.
