Hello all,

I, like others, have been having trouble with my WiFi. It normally works well, but I cannot download large files (>100 MB, or so) without the WiFi failing. When this happens I must turn WiFi off and on to get connections back. I've tried every proposed solution posted with no success. I've decided that, for large file downloads, perhaps it's just easier to either use a USB WiFi dongle, or (my preferred option) connect my N900 to the Pandora via USB and use it as a WiFi dongle. I can already share its connection via Bluetooth PAN, but the bluetooth limits the download speed too much for downloading large files.

Has anyone been able to do this? I've searched around the forums a bit (how I found the BT PAN idea) with no success.

Thanks!

I use qt mobile hotspot on the n900, it has the option to share connection via wifi or usb, once you start the sharing, you just have to choose the network from the pandora.

This worked for me. Thanks!

Just to save someone else a 10 second Google search:

After connecting via USB, don't select any USB mode on the N900

Run this on the Pandora:

Code:
ifconfig usb0 up

dhclient usb0

See here for more details.
