Hi,

I was using USB mass storage with no problem until today. Yesterday, my Pandora fell on the floor (not a big shock though), while the mini USB cable was plugged. I carefully checked the Pandora, and it seemed fine. However, today, I can't have it detected by my Windows 7 PC any longer. I tried two different USB cables, the red charge led is on, but my PC can't see it. Do you think I broke the USB connector (from the outside, it looks fine, and it's not really a part that seems to easily break)? Or is there a magic trick I could use to test it?

Thank you very much!

PS: I rebooted my PC, just in case, but no success

Usually, the port is pretty sturdy - but every Mini USB port can easily break when it falls and a cable is plugged in (depending on how it falls, there's quite a lot of force).

It sounds like the Pins got a bit loose, at least the data Pin.

Probably needs a resolder.

Hi ED, thanks for your reply. So would this kind of repair be included in the free RMA policy? Or would I be charged for getting it fixed? :)
