Its true that more non BLU's can reach 200+, i've seen no BLU's which can get that high, its very rare for them to even reach 180mhz.

No offense in that but every person I know can go at least at 180 with their BLU...around 10 persons...;)

Please don't see any offense in that, I just want to discuss about that here. :)
I'll be the 2nd person to prove you wrong then, as my BLU can only go to 166mhz it craps out at 168mhz (i think a voltage mod may be in order here ;) )

First, let me wipe away my tears.

My BLU goes to 166mhz only.

what is the problem with zodiac and overclocking

the FLU i bought off Squidge gets up to 220+ (Havent tried it over 220mhz)

Please don't say that because I know nearly only BLU owners which can pass 180 Mhz, so it stays a mystery for all of us for the moment. ;)

Same, mine also crashes at 168mhz. I believe it could be the fact that the light is causing less strain on the CPU(I don't know if the CPU does anything with the light on FLUS) but in BLUS it might be that it is running some extra software because of the light since it is controlled by software.

Maybe since Non-Flus don't have a light it also doesn't have as much of a problem with batteries.

Or maybe we don't know the same BLUs. ;)

You posted your goes to 166 also :). Anyway has anyone tried checking the fps compared to 166 on like Chrono Trigger or something?

Does my BLU represent all the BLUs?! <_<

ok children , lets not fight
now back to what someone said, is ther a way to mod my 32 to get 220?
I hit 166 now, but not 168 and if I get the volt mod....
would there be a certain resistor and a certain way to put it in and where at to do so..
to get 200? at least, but 220+ if at all posable, which it has to be, it has been done, so what do I need?

Lets try to discuss the emulator you guys. We already spammed up the post before lets not do it again. I already have a pretty active thread on overclocking.

if this emulator gets upgraded to run at 220 we might have full speed with sound on chrono trigger
i wish mr. mirko released the source for his overclock tester

Wasnt there talk of people going above 166 some time ago?

But then the guru's said that there is no change above 166

Theres 2 reasons whay im pointing this out:

1. can only go to 156, and even that crashes sometimes
2. Ooookay, im just jellous

well, I did a test:

Game: Terranigma (german)
FS:0
Sound: Off

on 166MHz:
gameplay: 95-100% (except if there are many enemies on the screen)
world map: 65%
dialogues: 54% (only sometimes, mostly 96%, but there are some slowdowns)

on 200MHz:
Gameplay: 100% (also if there are many enemies on screen)
worldmap: 86-93%
dialogues: No slowdowns encountered, yet

dialogues: 54% (only sometimes, mostly 96%, but there are some slowdowns)

Cutscenes in both Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma (sequel to Illusion of Gaia, also made by Quintet) sometimes have that problem. I'm not sure if it's a bug, or if the developers intended the characters to "speak slowly". I have the Illusion of Gaia cart so I know it's not a problem with the emulator.

well, it shows 54 in the left corner of the screen (I have the FPS counter switched ON  ). So it is a slowdown, not sure what causes it though.
