I was reading the bug tracker when I saw this

It's true what he says:

Code:
dh -h

usually give 108.3M available, but after doing

Code:
sudo rm -r /usr/bin/qt4/*

I get 123.3M available. Woo Hoo!

Has anybody else come across bits of bloat that can safely be removed? I figure that the more NAND you have available, the less risky using OPKG becomes.

If this doesn't cause any issues, then it may be worthwhile to include in the next HF. But are we sure that Qt4 isn't needed for anything?

It just deletes demos/ and examples/, I can't imagine anything relying on these for functionality (I'll let you know when my pandy breaks)

"every little bit counts" .....but then again if you want to "max" out then you might as well boot off SD and not have to worry, although I can see the attraction of having a lean and slightly customised NAND.

Seems like it should be removed by default though, hopefully from next OS build.

Cool, the next HF can remove that junk and include the compiler+build-tools onboard instead! :)
