I was searching for some sample recordings of a certain alto recorder and found this:
Ah, modern recorder stuff! I like it...in proper doses
EDIT: If it is a Bressan Voice Recorder you're looking for, then Dan Laurin plays one a bit more melodically here
Thanks... nice piece. The beginning very much sounds like a ... (extended/decorated/whatever you call it in English) of a piece I've played a few years ago. I wonder if one composer copied/cited the other or if they just had similar ideas.
I'm pretty sure I've come around (recorder) stuff played by a women named Laurin (Susanna?) - I guess probably they are siblings or something. Interesting.
I was searching for an alto Bressan K4 by manufacturer Küng, actually. So I guess it's a similar recorder in those videos here, but not actually the same model.
I was just browsing around for different expensive recorders to maybe eventually buy at some point. I would like one which can also go a bit louder than the usual baroque-like models. Those always happen to be expensive, though. So it's not likely I'll buy one soon.
This Eagle alto seems pretty good too, but I want to hear it some more when it /isn't/ driven to the loudest it can possibly do or combined with the most interesting tonguing techniques which hide it's usual sound completely.
Here is a baroque piece played on one:
Actually sounds quite like nice here too (completely different sound).
Still not enough for me to just drop $2500 on one.
I'm just browsing around anyway, my old one does it's job perfectly and I really like it's sound.
