I've been using the SD card from my girlfriend's mp3 player since I got my 2X, but now I have some spare cash so I figure it's time to get one of my own. Either 2GB or 1GB, as long as the price is good and it's compatible with the 2X.

This brings me to why I'm posting here. I'm hoping someone here will be able to point me to a good deal on SD cards. The only requirements being that it's 2X compatible and the company ships to Canada. I know about Tiger Direct but their prices are only so-so up here and their American store doesn't ship here. Prices on them are high in the city here so I need to go online. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. :)

The cheapest I was able to find was Kingston. And it works fine with the GP2X (except for the pausing bug that on the other hand almost everyone experiences).

I got a SandDisk 2GB for $115 USD shipped off of ebay, i can tell you the seller if you like, i'm pretty sure he ships to Canada as well.

I'm kinda iffy about buying off of ebay. I'd like to have some sort of recourse if I get a faulty card or something. I was hoping someone would know of an online store that was having a sale or something.

www.pricewatch.com Good site it compares prices from other places.

Don't suggest Newegg, please, they don't ship to Canada, which sucks cause they have some great prices on lots of different things.

Thanks for the memory express suggestion, though. I forgot about them, I don't think they've been in Edmonton that long (though everyone I know in Calgary loves the place). They're still kinda pricey though. I guess I'll check pricewatch and see if I can score a decent deal.

Go for the gusto, get a 4GB card. I remember hearing one guy using it and it worked. Not sure which ones do work though.

Heh, I'd love to get a 4GB card but the government didn't give me THAT much money, and I have a few other things I want to spend the money on.

I actually found a pretty good deal on 1GB cards, so I'm going to get two. If any Canucks are interested, they're at http://www.canadacomputers.com.
