sorry if this seems like a stupid statement / question, but...

is it my imagination, but the joystick accuracy / functionality seems to be alterable / variable in software.
the different versions of MAME seem to effect the functionality of the joystick in some games to a degree?

and there is that DaveC JOYSTICK utility

...so correct me if i'm wrong,
there should be no need for a hardware fix for the so called problematic GP2x joystick,
some sort of hardware / operating system fix should be possible?

am i up the right tree or just talking rubbish?

who is responsible for the upgrades to the operating system is thie open source too?
and what's stopping them including this fantastic utility in their next upgrade?

where is the petition, you have my vote to sort this one out once and for all :)

Regards,

GaRy:)

the joystick is digital, theres absulutely nothing the software can "change" on the way it acts.
well, apart of latency/polling speed maybe, but i doubt you can notice that.

right, i understand the digital joystick bit.
have you tried this?

what is that showing?

it seems to show me that some configurations work better than other?

feel free to explain to me what this utility is doing, in a simple manner please.

regards, GaRy:)
