Well, from time to time one hears someone say "more obscure systems, like C=64", like in that poll not too long ago. I go WTF? And figure they are yanks or something. Dunno how well-spread Commodore was in the states... As such, it's not important to them, kinda like if someone makes a version of Pong, they might not "deserve" a guru-status.

Fair enough. I had one though, as well as a TI-99/4A, and an Atari 800 ... come to think of it, wasn't William (Capt. Kirk) Shatner the official C=64 spokesperson?

Maybe the old brain is just fried from waiting for my gp2X ... ;)

Sure, make hime one, but we need a "GP2X Guru" icon or even a "GP32&GP2X Guru" image or maybe just change it to "GP Guru"?

Don`t no but we definatly need a change there, as he (Snaff) needs to be a gp2x guru!

As far as I can see, the guru icons are GP32X ones - which implies you know what you're talking about re: what is generally talked about on this site in general. These days that's GP32 *and* GP2x.

Though I suspect I'll be as in the dark as the next man when it comes to the 2x in due course to be fair...

I also think it should be GP32X guru because that's the name of the site. How about making a new guru avatar though. Let's have some suggestions :)

C-64 was huge in the US and Canada, I think this is age talking more then system penetration.

Hell yes Guru the guy, anyone who ports the machine I grew up on to the handheld I await with great eagerness is a guru to me!

I wouldn't call C64 obscure. I'm most people intrested in a truely obscure handheld would know about it.
