You can always just email them and ask them what your queue range is...
Which has already been demonstrated time and time again to be so inaccurate as to be virtually uselessYou can always just email them and ask them what your queue range is...
There is a customs officer somewhere very busy installing emulator PNDs on his new console...I was quoted at 550 - 650 in Craig's line and my shipping email came a few days late. I got my confirmation email when I used PayPal before I had to redo the payment at around 12:45 PM EST or is it EDT? This means at around 16:45 or 17:45 GMT (The 30th) is when I got it. My Pandora was shipped on January 12th and got to Canada on the 14th. Currently, it is stuck in the postal facility awaiting customs. I hope it goes through there fast soon. I have heard horror stories about Canada Post and customs getting stuck for days or weeks... I am hoping to get it before this Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Actually more likely the customs officer is probably trying to figure out what exactly it is, whether there's a similar device that could have been purchased in Canada, and how much (if any) duty to charge. There shouldn't be any duty, or it might be considered a "laptop" and you have to pay tax on $1200. Stupid customsThere is a customs officer somewhere very busy installing emulator PNDs on his new console...
Canada custom suck ballz : I already paid 2 times the custom for my pandora....and how much (if any) duty to charge. There shouldn't be any duty, or it might be considered a "laptop" and you have to pay tax on $1200. Stupid customs
I don't think anyone has been charged duty yet, so you should be safe, but if there is let us know!
D'oh. You would be the first I'd heard. SucksCanada custom suck ballz : I already paid 2 times the custom for my pandora....

Like I say, there shouldn't be any duty, but ignorance and a lack of proper ... thing... where you argue against it... forgotten word... mean it could be anything.
Anecdotally, my parents bought a large thing from the US for $6000. Bringing it across the border, they declared, were prepared to pay tax on their $6000 purchase, duty officer says "no, that's worth $20'000. $3000 please. Also, because you knowingly misrepresented the value of your goods, your names are going on a list for deep searches at every crossing." The fact that this was used and the product new is $20'000, and that they had a receipt and everything didn't do any good.
Sucks indeed.
I'm in the same boat as you, I ordered at the same time, and was quoted at 2400-2500 in July, and I moved up to 2300-2400 as of this month. My order was completed on October 3rd, of '09. You should let me know when you get your shipping email, since we're close together in the queue. Not that it will matter, but it would make the wait a little bit more exciting for me.
.
Does anybody not know their order number and want to keep it that way? I like being optimistic on where I'm in the order list.

Everyone up to approx 1000-1200 will have their unit shipped before the end of next week.
Same here. All I know is I'm somewhere in the beginning of batch 2.Does anybody not know their order number and want to keep it that way? I like being optimistic on where I'm in the order list.
Hope so. I'm getting screwed over if your somehow ahead of me :lol:And that's probably in the big queue. I ordered early February 2009, and I'm around 1400-1500 on Craig's list, which translates to 1866-2000 in the big queue.
