Sententia - Gp2x Game

You may remember me as the author of one of the many Sudoku games available on GP32. After the first version release, I began work straight away on the next version, but when I had almost completed it, my GP32 ended up being damaged. After a few months away from the GP32 scene, I have decided to return to support the new GP2X handheld. My first GP2X game will be similar to a certain popular puzzle game... *cough* Bejeweled *cough* ... :p and it is currently called 'Sententia' (a Latin term relating to thinking). Since the term 'Sententia' is horribly overused (2,210,000 Google results!) I will be finding a more suitable title before it's release. As you can see from the sample screenshots below (rendered on a PC but designed within GP2X's constraints) I have adopted a Mayan theme for this game.

Once I have completed this game, I have some ideas for my next GP2X game that would excite most of you - that's why I will keep the idea 'under wraps' until I am sure it will be completed

Sententia2X?

What kind of game is this *cough* Bejeweled *cough* then?

looks pretty good :D
sententia sounds pretty cool
i didn't even knew that word existed

the newspost in front of gp32x is just ... :) i mean why should i show some screens as long as there is nothing done yet? i could also post project graphics adjusted for gp2x as gianas return and xump 2x ...

i don't see a point in hyping something which isn't available in binary form yet...

this should be no offense :) i like the idea/graphics :)

I agree.

I noticed that "Scoopex" thing is the sig. I think I remember those guys from the Amiga, they used to make awesome hacker demos I think like Red Sector did and stuff is that right?

I wonder if they would ever make some intros for the GP32 or GP2X. I think that was one thing lacking on the GP32 was scene demos. There are a few but not as much as I would think.

Looks great but there isn't even hardware out yet. Looking forward to it though looks good.

red sector and skyline had cracks of the great gianna sisters for amiga and had scene demos or whatever, in the skyline version (i have the rom and version for a-500/1000) the words "the great gianna sisters" scrolled back and forth, made up of stuff from the levels, it was really cool looking

I am already communicating with GPH to get that side sorted out ;)

be sure i'm going to download that game, even if i never played puzzle games that looked/played like that. We need to support everyone that tries to create or enhance, unify a community, the future gp2x community. 'Cause the bigger the scene will be, more the gp2x will be popular.
