Wish I had the money but that is twice what you paid for it isn't it? I'd just auction it if I were you, I'm not sure you'll find anyone to pay double without bidding lower first.
 
Problem is that the nubs will likely fail very soon - that means back for repair which can take a while even if it is free.

We know this to be a 100% fact as it is presently delaying mass production.

Despite the seemingly high failure rate, it's still very far from "likely". I seem to recall a quote of about 20% or so: totally unacceptable and the reason for the redo of the nubs, but not anything to be feared as a guarantee. It also tends to happen within the first few weeks to a month, from a casual glance at the help topics. If it survives past a month, odds of the nubs failing seems to drop considerably.
