It's a tiny little coax lead to run from the the wifi radio to the antenna - that's why it has the metal lump on the end, rather than an antenna.
You'll likely see something similar if you look inside a laptop that has wifi, or even the option to have wifi - my dad's old Toshiba has the antenna and cable in the screen section even though there was no wifi card fitted.
Screens are good places to put the antenna because they are typically upright when in use, and also you need RF shielding around the motherboard section. Think of how much wifi radio power would be wasted into warming your legs (its about the same frequency RF as in your microwave!) in a laptop if the antenna was in the base.

Ouch... yeah my screen still has a bit of glue or something stuck on the very edge of the screen from when I had to remove that from my First Edition GP2X...Aninhumer said:If anything fitting it badly just makes it easier to remove.
I remember the super tight fit for the GP2X screen cover, made me and others think the screen was scratching at first.
I wouldn't have even realised if I hadn't read similar issues on the forum.
And since 5 year old boys don't have credit cards...they've got a good racket going.WizardStan said:Only a 5 year old boy will have the wisdom to speak upjoseluisjazz said:And if it's invisible, how do you know you have it?Dead1nside said:Yep, going to instantly fit my Invisible Shield screen protector to it.

Yes, but make sure you buy the Screen Coverage, for $14.99, instead of the full body one. Since the screen is the only part which is the same on both. This is the one that I bought several months ago, when they had a discount, now stored in a drawer waiting for the Pandora.

Any one know of a UK stockist? Carphone warehouse is the main one but I can't see an archos 605 version.
I've seen a 102mmx64mm version but I'm not sure that's big enough.
Pandora's ratio is 5:3. Which is the closest among all common screen ratios to the Golden Ratio (Phi). For me, this is a plus on its beauty.SONY said:The main problem is the ratio. You see, the PSP screen protector is 4.3" wide (diagonal of course) with a 16:9 ratio. Pandora is also 4.3" wide (diagonal of course), but different ratio to PSP.
