Not sure what changed but my samba share but now im getting a error mount: Operation not supported. dmesg gives a return code of -95.
The web seems to show that this might be fixed specifying an option vers=3.0.

<share> <mount> cifs vers=3.0,iocharset=utf8.username=me,password=pass 0 0

Ive tried other combinations setting sec=ntlmv2 and others. Ive tried different vers.
Im not having any issues on my other x86 pcs, but there im using autofs.

Im curious how others are mounting shares. Im using fstab.
Also any ideas to get this working again is welcome.

Last time, and I mean long time ago I think I had success with using sec=ntlm and not the ntlmv2.

Now a days I mount via sshfs, so it's been a while.

I use "/etc/samba/smb.conf", I just put there the path I want shared and some permission flags

@TrashyMG thanks for the suggestion of sshfs I was able to get it to work. I will need to look into the keygen's to not enter the password each time.

@PowerGod You have it reversed smb.conf controls the server side, im just asking about the client side.

oh, then a long time ago I just used Gigolo for that, but it worked till Windows 7... I was never able to let i mount shared folder from Windows 8 and up...

If you use Windows, on the recent ones the oldest SMB protocols are disabled by default and connections to those are not permitted, but those protocols can be reactivated by hand.

I had issues with Gigolo way back when on the Pandora. Can't remember how I got it to work but I can look if it helps.

I stopped using SFTP since I can just do upnp shares on my home network from kodi which is what I used the most anyway.

this. i had to renable SMB 1 on win 10 to use my netgear ready nas NV+

Can someone confirm that SMB 2.0 support was never added to Super Zaxxon ?

I always used Gigolo in the past so I know nothing about what was happening in the background or how to check supported versions
