I can't get my Hauppauge WinTV HVR-950Q to work. I placed its firmware in the appropriate place, but there's still no /dev/dvb folder, and Me-TV says there's no DVB devices available.

I already posted this as a reply to another thread, but I thought it should go in support.

dmesg output:

Trying to use the card anyway in VLC on the Pandora, each error is for a different channel from channels.conf:

I think its not supported by Linux because there is no Firmware Files from Hauppauge for Downloading.

This Model is not realy supported:

http://www.hauppauge.de/site/support/support_linux.html (sorry for German, dont found the english Site)

There is a Combatible List for Haupauge Linux FW Files.
But it works perfectly fine on my laptop. And it used to almost work on the Pandora. The /dev/dvb folder used to be there, with the appropriate contents. But with the new firmware, it's not there anymore. I could never get any video out of it on the Pandora though.

I have the firmware for it in the Pandora already, I put it there. But it still doesn't work.
