Wow this is good news i can't wait for it to be realeased, i think its likely to b realeased in this years gbax comp as i think he may have a good chance of winning with it!!!

The video was absolutely amazing. Wasn't it? It was running at full speed at FS 0 and 66 mhz! I know it was just the menu, but still! :D

anything been said about sound for fgen? that video looked great, pretty unbelivable that thats runnin at 66mhz, theres some power in that asm language. Im a far bigger MD fan than a snes one, yet to enjoy megadrive games like roadrash and sonic i fing i need the sound. couldnt tell u why, probably because these are the games i remember most from my childhood.

cant wait for a release of this or squidge's emu. keep up the good work Rlyeh. :D

unbelievable what happens these days in the gp32 scene....

maybe i should buy a second or third gp just in case, it'll break some day. if we'll really see full speed genesis/snes emulation, this piece of hardware is unreplacable!

thanks to the hard working people.

omg, we probably get perfect genesis emulation, perfect snes emulation with os9xgp, (maybe?) good gba emulation with gp advance :D

great days for the gp!!

Umm im not sure about sound, something was said the other day about ryleh was a fan of crystal clear sound so hes probably waitin till he gets everything running smoothly first.

and life is starting to look really good.

Gaming life anyway. Should be good... Mega Drive games always seemed more polished to me. Although SNES games where usually more fun. Anyways good luck.
quick solution: I need them both.

and now we will! XD

Yeah this will probably be GP32 finest year, all the nice polished emus coming out, a european launch, etc...

I am more of a SNES fan, the games always had better graphics, sound, and it had the bigger developer names like squaresoft and, obviously, nintendo. But Genesis does have some games that I always loved, Skeleton Crew, Hellfire, Phantasy Star, Shinning Force, etc... this way we wont have to choose.

Yeah, with the XD converter, we will be able to store 512 MBs of 100% playable

SNES
GENESIS/ MASTERDRIVE
GBA
and others
:D OH YAH!!! :D
It will definitely be worth the extra $150 for a XD card!

Blimey eh? Between this, Yoyos os9xgp and Mr Mirkos gMAME its looking like the GP32 will fulfill its potential. Just in time too, what with the competition and all.

Um...wasn't it reported that the GP32's firmware or something wouldn't work with media greater than 128 mb?

I'm off to buy some more SMC's i will definly need them when one of the many God coders release his new emu :p

The funny thing is that I bought my Gp32 so i don't have to buy games for it and now i'm buying smc's like the're games :D

Rlyeh, Squide, Yoyo, Skeezix, and all other I love you all :p

is the GP32 actually capable of addressing 512mb cards?

has anyone tried the xd converter?

I'm pretty much lost for words at everything after reading all of this.

Advancements on Snes emulation...

2 highly promising Genesis emulators...

AND there's upcoming GBA emulation looking promising...

If this all works as many of us are hoping, then all that's needed is mainstream advertisement for the european launch and GP32 sales would skyrocket IMO. I even took my GP32 round my friends house with the Pinball Dreams demo, and GPDoom, and he's now saving to buy a GP32 of his own after one single demonstration.

I know a lot of friends that are into retro gaming. If Megadrive emulation and existing emulators were improved before, or for the european launch, then with the proper advertisements and marketing, am I the only person that thinks it would sell amazingly?
