I had to release a new version. First of all there was a memory leak bug. But now I have a README explaining the game mechanics, too ;-)

And a new version again for all GP2X owners: I initialized the sound wrong. So there were latencies. Fixed it :)

Aaaand an update again. I implemented a help screen. It is not perfect (in fact it is a bit "hacky"), but I have no time for more and some people don't know, what to do in this game. So if you survive this Wall of Text, you know, how to play!

Hi, thanks for this game :)
Unfortunately, there is a lot of flickering on the dingoo version, do you think you can do an OpenDingux version with double buffering enable?

Nice work Ziz, very nice game! It's even better with the new changes.

Completely off topic but you never added Snowman to the archive, could you upload that one? I don't think many people know about that game.

@Coccijoe: I fixed it yesterday. The archive version seems to need some time to get the changes >.< Here is a new version without flicking: http://ziz.delphigl.com/data/puzzletube-dingoo.zip Double Buffering didn't help btw...

@Orion4874: As you maybe noticed, I rewrote my "background engine" and gave it a great™ name. So after puzzletube (and maybe a project for the Pandora Rebirth Contest) I will update snowman, too. Then I will upload it to the archive. :)

Today I have two videos for you. The first one is made by smida3 in the Dingoo Community. It works now pretty well on the Dingoo A320 ;-)

The second video is about some new feature in my software rendering library sparrow3D. I am now able to load obj files. And it is pretty fast. The last example on my gp2x got 23 fps with "bad affine" with 1250 Quads.

Most of my work @libsparrow3d is for my next project, which will be an entry for the rebirth contest. But as long as I did not decide to participate and the create an own thread, I will post changes here. ^^

The GP2X has no, too.

That is the point of my library: It is a Software Renderer :D
It works on every system with SDL ;-)

Congrats! Software render rules, hardware render should be illegal! :p
I´m serious though.

Can that lib run on caanoo?

That Lib runs already on the Caanoo. It runs on every system I compiled puzzletube for ;-)

So: Pandora, Caanoo, Dingoo, Wiz and GP2X ;-)

I take a guess that it would have to be wrapped to be used inside glbasic if I could use it.
Is your lib open or public released?

Hm, I don't know, how to import normal .so files in glbasic. If you know it: The library has a very easy structure.

All my Software is released under (L)GPL and MPL. :)
You can find the library here: https://github.com/theZiz/sparrow3d

But I would wait a few weeks, maybe I'll make some bigger changes. Especially with light. I think, I will create a new thread for the library, when it is feature complete. That should be in 1 or 2 weeks.

thanks for the fast reply,
I would not know how to use such a lib inside glbasic myself but could gather help from people to do so.

If fact, altough I work with 3d gfx, I´m noob when it comes to use it inside coding software.
My primary intentions are to produce some 2d games I like.

So it still will be a long while till I get to 3d on this level.

But it´s great to see good work done on this front, I´m greatly interested on homebrew games and apps and libs! :)

ps: maybe I can run your test on caanoo using ginge? I´m definently curious about the performance. ops. did confuse things here

If you want to run my test on your Caanoo I can give you the real Caanoo version :p

But would be very boring. Just 2 times better fps than on my gp2x. ^^

You are still able to see the lib in action:
http://ziz.delphigl.com/data/puzzletube-caanoo.zip
But I will build the test application for Caanoo today or tomorrow evening. ;-)

As you may be interested, I finished puzzletube sometimes ago.
I wanted to upload it to the archive, too, but it seems to be in a renovation process. :\

So, I uploaded it to my subdomain from gp2x.de (thx to ED for this):
http://ziz.gp2x.de/downloads/puzzletube/

Would be nice, if you could test these builds! Most of them a made automatically by a new script, so maybe something is broken. ^^'
In fact: At the moment only the pandora build is really tested. XD

Aaand a video for the lulz at the end:

I just gave the Caanoo version a try (just about a minute) and everything seems to work fine. Starts, music is playing, you can watch the tutorial, you can play, every control is working and it exits to menu without problems.
btw: I made and uploaded an ini file for puzzletube. You can include it to Caanoo's zip file, if you like to. I didn't find any other filehoster without registration so I uploaded it here: http://www.file-upload.net/download-7770230/puzzletube.ini.html

Oh, thanks, that is funny: I HAVE an ini file (with exactly the same content btw), but my script doesn't add it in the resulting zip file :D

Fixed my script and uploaded the new caanoo archive.
