Most of you probably don't recognize me. I've been a silent follower of the Open Pandora project for a very long time, but I wanted to let you guys know that I have a game in the works.

It's called Retribution. It will be a third person shooter/hack and slash game following the story of William Claxton. Claxton is the son of a paranoid and very wealthy businessman whose paranoia becomes reality when the family mansion is attacked and he is killed. William then devotes his life to finding and bringing justice to those responsible and discovering how his father got mixed into such a business along the way.

I plan to bring it to PC(Windows and Linux), the up and coming Ouya system, and hopefully I will be able to get it onto the Pandora.

Please tell me what you think of the idea along with any advice you can think of. If you like the idea, please check out my Twitter @EnochDew and favorite, reply, and/or retweet the idea. Thanks in advance. :D

could be very interesting, for the pandora concept what kind of controls? are you thinking nubs or dpad & buttons or a combination? also what kind of graphics/feel?

Seeing the graphics for the Android games on the 1ghz Pandora made me think there aren't many native games utilizing it's 3D capabilities. As for controls, I plan on taking advantage of the dual nubs, but I have no plans as of now to make an combo moves system or anything too complicated. When you have a gun and you're aiming, it will have a Mass Effect\Uncharted\Syphon Filter feel and have a basic run around, hack and slash feel when you are just going about.

sweet,

I'll vote for it on steam green light. I was wondering what style you are gonna use – realism, science fiction, steam punk, cyber punk, some sort of end time scenario maybe?

Also the story seems to be a little ordinary. Why not find the cut off arm of his father in the devastated mansion and make it a waht happened to my dad story. This way you can swap the "revange" part with the hope that he's still alive, or something like that.

It's modern times and the group is pretty much the mafia and the police are in on it too so it becomes a very messy situation very fast. I was thinking about leaving the father alive and making him save him, but if he crossed a gang, I don't see why they would keep him alive. Also discovering the truth about him could put some irony in the title. A big part of it that I'm excited about is the creating of a large mansion of a paranoid rich man; secret passageways and hidden weapons everywhere.
